Base Units for Islands and Peninsulas: Style icon. The elegance of Vision is palpable in its airy forms and volumes. Lightness conveyed by the unique design of the base units for islands and peninsulas, a refined element developed by craftsmen in stratified and shaped Solid Ash Wood.

Base Units for Islands and Peninsulas: The mark of perfect geometry. The interaction between volumes and surfaces finds its unquestionable, distinctive mark in Vision design. Vision kitchen features a door with a 30° slanting edge, integrating a Black Aluminum trim-handle. From the distinct geometry of the door with integrated profile handle comes dimensions, symmetries and compositions.

Exclusive Surfaces: The worktop surface can be customized by selecting the special Snaidero exclusive Stainless Steel with cross hairline Satin finish, the result of craftsman-like complex handwork.

The Smart Corner, Corner On-Top Jointing Unit: Special cabinet with shaped integrated shelves and hinged door: the ideal space for organizing a small countertop

Supports for Islands and Peninsulas: Planning with Vision enables the design island and peninsulas to be supported by a Solid Ash Wood leg sculpture, jointed and milled, available in Walnut Stained and Matte Black-Stained finish. This element combines a cuttingedge technology with craftsmanship, starting from the Solid Wood which is worked using the finger-joint technique.

Design and Functionality: The light integrated in the support for islands and peninsulas is dimmable: a remote control enables us to adjust light intensity and color, for a warm or cold light.

Design and Functionality: Worktop pop-up sockets to enhance the multitasking functionality of the worktop surface, a pop-up block integrates two outlets and one usb charger.

    PAOLO PININFARINA

    PAOLO PININFARINA

With a company history that dates back to 1930, Pininfarina has always drawn inspiration from the values of creativity and innovation, without forgetting the strength of tradition. It has always managed to wonderfully combine the most futuristic and avant-garde stylistic forms with the most ingenious technical solutions aimed at improving functionality. A heritage of values and manufacturing sensitivity that immediately found harmony and communion with those of Snaidero, its exclusive partner for kitchen design since 1990.

The almost twenty years of close and fruitful collaboration between the two great companies has led to several projects that have left their mark on the history of domestic design, both at a national and international level, with unforgettable kitchens such as: “Ola”, “Viva”, “Idea”, “Acropolis”, “Venus” and “Ola 20”. Pininfarina’s approach to domestic design is truly distinctive. It tends to take a broad approach that aims to communicate a profound sense of innovation, in terms of both the formal and functional aspects of the kitchen. A design approach that does not follow fashion, but instead anticipates it. An approach with formal implications that are both complex and at the same time essential, with no frills and always up-to-date with the most modern technologies available.

“Ola”, the first result of the collaboration with Paolo Pininfarina (Turin 1958), was created in 1990 with the objective – proposed by Snaidero – of resolving all the latest requirements of domestic functionality with maximum efficiency. In doing so it was to make use of the most technologically and ergonomically innovative, functional and avant-garde solutions available. The design, with a strikingly direct and distinctive architectural impact, gave rise to a highly three-dimensional and essential kitchen. It is characterised by such an innovative and rational – and yet communicative – design that it strikes one as an instant classic.

“Ola” was in fact immediately “understood” and profusely rewarded by both the public and the critics. The international market success was in fact soon joined by other equally satisfying rewards. Such as receiving the Good Design Award, assigned to “Ola” by the Chicago Design Athenaeum Museum in 1996, and the American Building Products Award given by Home Magazine USA in 1997.

“Viva”, the second result of the collaboration between the two great brands, was released in 1990. It represented the result of an in-depth study into domestic ergonomics. It focused in particular on the role of the curve, which in the kitchen environment must be both attractive and safe for daily domestic use. In “Viva” the soft form of the curve in fact no longer follows a transversal movement. Instead it finds its full expressive power as a dynamic movement from top to bottom.

The main ergonomic feature of “Viva” is its complete lack of corners. This is achieved thanks to its peculiar rounded shape, as demonstrated by the curved shape of the wall units, as well as the front edge of the work surface. This in turn is rendered ergonomic by a characteristic anti-spill edge. The curved doors of the base units and wall units are made from specially moulded high-density Baydur. This special polyurethane-based material has just the right properties to allow for the gentle shapes that form the stylistic signature of this prestigious model. A kitchen that is truly “alive” and, by its natural vocation, able to look to the future. In other words a true interior design product, able to provide high levels of customisation: ranging from a decidedly high-tech style to one that is more intimate and familiar.
